AmeriHost Website Forms

AmeriHost Website Forms will help deliver website inquiries to the business responsible for responding to them. It is being designed for websites managed by AmeriHost, including contact and service-request forms.

AmeriHost Website Forms is in development. The workflow described here will apply to participating websites when the service is enabled. The current amerihost.com contact form is separate and is not covered by this service description.

How it works

When a visitor submits a participating form after the service is enabled, the service will process the submitted contact information and message, store a submission record, and send an email notification to the designated business recipient. Delivery records will help identify failures, and the service will retry messages that have not been sent successfully. If a form provides an email acknowledgment, the service may also send a confirmation to the address supplied by the visitor.

Google account connection

An authorized AmeriHost administrator will connect a sending Google account through Google's authorization process. The service will request permission to send email using the Gmail API. It will not request permission to read the account's inbox or contacts. Website visitors will not need to connect a Google account to submit a participating form.

Availability

The service is being prepared for use on AmeriHost-managed websites. It is not a public email-marketing platform or an emergency communication service.
